The first is a derivative of the dihydropyridine called amlodipine, which acts by plugging slow calcium channels. The second, named valsartan, causes competitive suppression of AT1 angiotensin II receptors. Both basic components correlate with each other. It is proved that in a complex they demonstrate more efficacy than it is shown in cases of monotherapy with a help of amlodipine or valsartan. Exforge is designed for the combined medical care of patients who suffer from a high blood pressure.

Exforge safety information

The pills of this pharmaceutical are swallowed regardless of the food intake, 1 time per day. The dosage depends upon the indicator of arterial pressure in the patient and the individual tolerability of the remedy. Exforge is not received to treat children, within pregnancy and breastfeeding. Exforge must not be assigned to treat patients with individual intolerance to valsartan, amlodipine, or any of the auxiliary components. Overdose

There were no reports of an overdosage by Exforge. Theoretically, there appears the likelihood of development of hypotension, dizziness, reflex tachycardia, shock. The proper patient's position in case of the overdose and development of hypotension to lie with raised legs.
