Sporanox is used to fight such diseases:

• Multicolored lichen;

• Mycological lesions of the oral mucous membranes;

• Nail injuries caused by dermatophytes or yeast infection;

• Systemic mycosis;

• Brain defeat (cryptococcal meningitis);

• Histoplasmosis (pulmonary disease);

• Sporotrichosis;

The drug has an antifungal effect after the end of the course for another 14-30 days. Necessary therapeutic concentration in the nail plate is formed after a weekly medication and is stored for half a year. In addition, the drug penetrates the sweat and sebaceous glands.

Sporanox safety information

Sporanox is not used in the treatment of pregnant women. It can be appointed only in extreme cases - if the condition threatens life. Feeding women should stop lactation at the time of taking a drug because the active substance of the drug penetrates into milk and can be transmitted to the child.

Women of childbearing age are advised to take effective contraceptives in order to prevent conception. They are drinking throughout the course of therapy, and after its completion - before the onset of the lunar period.

Contraindications

Sporanox cannot be used for therapy in the following cases:

• With individual hypersensitivity to component components4

• If the patient undergoes treatment with CYP3A4, Midazolam, Triazolam, Eletriptan, Nisoldipine, HES;

• If the patient suffers from chronic, heart failure;

• In the case of congenital intolerance to fructose, lack of sucrose in the body, malabsorption of glucose-galactose;

• Children 3 years old;

• During pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

In the treatment of Sporanox, it must be taken into account that the drug may cause dizziness and other side effects that affect the reaction rate and concentration of attention. People working on vehicles or managing complex mechanisms should consider this.

Patients with low immunity, HIV or those who have undergone an organ transplant operation may need a daily dose correction (increase).

Overdose

In the treatment of Sporanox, one must take into account that he does not have a certain antidote, and hemodialysis does not help. If a large number of drugs have been taken, it is necessary to rinse the affected stomach as soon as possible - preferably within an hour after ingestion, to give a sorbent. If the condition does not improve, then the treatment is given depending on the symptoms of the condition.

• Disorders of the digestive tract (nausea, pain, vomiting, diarrhea/constipation, appetite loss), digestive problems;

• Increase in liver enzymes (is reversible);

• Liver damage (very rarely - with a fatal outcome);

• Allergic reactions;

• A headache, dizziness;

• Skin reactions (rash, itching, urticaria);

• Imperceptibility of bright light;

• Loss of hair;

• Feeling swollen;

• Violation of the heart.

In women, Sporanox therapy can change the menstrual cycle, in men, it reduces potency and affects libido.
